Delahey Campus Principal Message

Exams

Term 4 is here and if we blink we miss it.  This time of year is dedicated to time in the classroom without too many disruptions.  Preparation for exams are the priority. Year 12 students attended VCE practice exams over the term break. VCE teachers spent time on ensuring students were given feedback on the exams so improvements can be made. This is when reality really starts to sink in and the Year 12 students know the end is near. Lots of practice exams, essay preparation and lectures occurred over the first three weeks of term.

Year 12 Final Assembly

Year 12 had their final goodbye assembly where many students were recognised for their efforts and community contribution.  Once again we got to listen to the amazing senior musicians Copperfield produce. Celebration Day was yet another wonderful event that students will remember for years to come. Amazing effort were put into dressing up and appreciating the friendships that have been made was evident.

Year 12 Awards

Once again, Copperfield Year 12 students behaviour was impeccable and as usual they did us all proud.  Our final Year 12 Awards event was held on October 26th. Our students looked all grown up and beautifully presented. It was definitely a night of celebration where successful students were presented certificates. Many students were recognised for their efforts and dedication to their studies and the exceptional results they have achieved so far.

VCAL and CHASE Showcase

Year VCAL put on the annual CHASE Showcase which was outstanding. VCAL at Copperfield just raises the bar every year. Our community partnerships continue to grow as does our positive reputation. The stalls were something to be very proud of and speaking to students there was evidence of valuable experiences being recognised. So many students told us they were amazed at how much satisfaction they got with working on projects in the community. Year 11 projects are a great stepping stone to the large project required in their Year 12 VCAL year.

Congratulations

Ms Griffiths and I would like to wish all our students luck with their upcoming exams. We know you have put in the time and effort to be your best. The best measure in life is being a good person. No matter what your grades are we at Copperfield strive to build great adults, and I think we have done a good job with this years Year 12 cohort. They are respectful, committed and energetic young adults ready to take the next step.
