A massive thank-you to all the parents who have come along to help this term. The kids love showing their parents their new skills.

We are most grateful to those parents who have offered to help with the program again next term.

SDSSA Hot Shots

Good Luck to our Hot Shots team, who head off to Nottinghill Pinewood Tennis Courts for the SDSSA Hot Shots Competition tomorrow.

Go Syndal!

EMR Athletics

CONGRATULATIONS to Xavier (Long & Triple Jump) and Vivian (200m), who have qualified for the Eastern Regional Athletics Championships to be held early next term.

Go Syndal!!!

Badminton

Our Year 5/6 students had some fun playing Badminton as part of our focus on racquet sports this week.

Circus Time at SSPS

Our Year 1/2 students tried their hand at juggling scarves, balls, rings and batons to the sound of circus music during their PE session this week.

Karate Clinics

It was great to have Kieran & Chandler from Glen Waverley Taekwondo Centre drop in to SSPS to run clinics for our Year 3/4 students this week. There were lots of calls of 'Chambee' and 'Kiai' echoing throughout the hall.

Footy Fever Comes to SSPS

Next Friday 20th of September, we will be holding our Annual Footy Day as Finals Fever hits town. Let us teachers kick start your day with a hearty breakfast, dressed in our cozy PJ’s, before we strip off into our favourite footy colours for the grand footy parade. After the traditional Hot Dog lunch, it’s out to the main oval for the annual staff versus student’s footy match. A highlight of the calendar year, the year 6 students get to take on the teachers in the local grudge match. Staff numbers are a bit light on this year, so we are hoping to have a few parents drop by to lend us a hand. Parents wanting to participate can hand in their resumes to me for selection consideration.

Holiday Sport

For parents looking for some great sporting activities for your kids over the school holidays, look no further than on the advertising page of this newsletter. There are baseball, soccer and basketball camps to name but a few. So many great opportunities for our kids.
