What their favourite/best about Year 1?

What did they learn this year?

What do they look forward to next year?

Here are some of the Year 1 comments:

The best part about Year 1 was when we went to Bundoora Heritage Village because we get to see all things about the olden days.

I learnt to do measurement and how to measure different sizes and things.

I’m excited about the sleep over next year in year 2

My favourite part in Year 1 was doing maths because I like counting

I learnt about time, that 12am is midnight.

I’m excited about having new teachers.

What was your favourite/best part about Year 1?

My favourite part about Year 1 was reading books in class because I love reading. My favourite book to read was called “Mini wings”                    

I learnt about what to do when I’m angry like breathing in through your nose and out of your mouth

I’m looking forward to the summer holidays and seeing the new teachers.

I liked going to the Year 1 dinner because we played pass the parcel and we played musical statues.                                                                         

I learnt about fractions. I learnt that there is one big thing and two equal parts

I’m looking forward to learning more maths in Year 2.

I liked the Year 1 dinner because we ate pizza.    

I learnt about time and shape in Maths. I learnt half past times. I learnt that there are 3D shapes and some are not.

I’m looking forward to learning more maths in Year 2.

I enjoyed making the paper elephants. I also liked the olden day excursion.         

I learnt about graphs. There are different types of graphs like bar graphs.

I’m looking forward to having new apps on my iPad.

I liked learning and singing all the songs like our Christmas song Jingle Jangle and the song we sang for our concert “Night Under the Stars”

I liked being in the concert and I liked when we went to the olden day farm.        

This year I learnt about time  like half past and o’clock.

Next year, maybe I’ll do some fun things in year 2
