A HUGE THANKYOU

What a spectacular night!

Thank you to everyone who made it to our Christmas Night Market.

We hope you enjoyed all the wonderful stalls we had on offer and came away with not only a gift or two but a sense of a great community spirit.

Together we raised over $8,000 for the school which is a terrific effort!

We have many wonderful people and businesses we wish to thank and acknowledge for all their hard work in the lead up to, and on the night; for their donations, and their willingness to help in many different ways.

I would like to begin with congratulating and thanking the wonderful, hardworking P&F Committee and also the fabulous volunteers who gave up many of their nights and days to attend market meetings, organise stalls, ask businesses for donations and many other tasks to make the night a success.

The P&F Team:

            Crystal Nappo – Co-President

            Mira Cantiani – Co-President

            Lucy Leahy – Treasurer

Anna Millar – Assistant Treasurer/Social Media

            Marianne Ciavarella – General Secretary

            Angela Rocillo

            Lizzy Louca

            Carly Price

We would like to make a special mention to the school office staff:  Ann Russo, Jane Prestia and Leonie O’Brien. They put up with a lot of the P&F’s emails and requests and always put in 100% for us and we greatly appreciate their help! Thank you!

A big thank you to Manuela Watson and Michael Jennings for making sure all the not so fun jobs of school safety requirements and obligations were met on the night!  Also, to all the teachers of St Fidelis who volunteered on the night. Many odd and must-needed jobs on the night (ie lollypop person at Benny Lane, First-Aiders, manning the toilets, manning the out of bounds zones etc). Your efforts are greatly appreciated.

Also, we would like to give thanks to God for such a spectacular night! The skies were clear and the community spirit was alive and well!

  • Thank you to Mercy College for donating 6 of their marquees, 2 of their Esky’s and their handball target board. Your contribution to our market is greatly appreciated!
  • Thank you to Tony and team at NOVCON for organising the power for all our equipment on the night. Thank you for keeping the power going on the night and most of all for keeping us safe!
  • Thank you to Lucy Leahy for being our ‘bank’ for the night. You did a tremendous job of keeping all the stalls fully stocked with change! I think you were the most popular person on the night!
  • Thank you to Anna Millar for all the Facebook updates leading up to the night. Great job recruiting volunteers, external stall holders and businesses willing to donate towards our market.
  • Thank you to Danielle Sportelli for creating the market stall plan and layout. Your huge efforts in setting up the layout and amount of marquees, tables and chairs etc required is greatly appreciated.
  • Thank you to Athena Theodore for all the phone calls and numerous trips to community businesses in search of donations and vouchers for our raffle and cake stalls! Our quiet achiever!

Flyer design / printing  and distribution

  • Thanks to Maria Surace for designing the main flyer and adjusting the design numerous times to include everything we needed
  • Anotinette Sciglitano for organising the street maps and Lucy Leahy for printing and organising the distribution of these through the local streets and Danielle Sportelli for the numerous internal flyers in between. Also, for all the individuals who hand delivered them around the streets - we truly appreciate all your time to get the word out.

Parents, Family and Friends of St Fidelis Primary School

Without the huge donations and contributions from our St Fidelis school community this market could not have happened! From soft drinks to cakes; from pre-loved books to pre-loved shoes; from raffle donations to marquees, we are greatly appreciative for it all! Every little bit helped!

I would also like to make note that many of our volunteers helped in a huge amount of different ways, not just for what they were specifically thanked for! Although I have not mentioned it, your help was greatly appreciated in every way. It’s just too hard to note them all!

And I am truly sorry if I have missed you by name to thank you! So many people volunteered in so many ways it was hard to keep up!!

External Stall Holders and Sponsors

Thank you to all our external stall holders.

We hope you enjoyed your night and found some new customers along the way.

We greatly appreciate your donations towards our raffle on the night too!
