Student Elections

Last Friday student elections were held for Committee and House leaders at every year level for 2021.  Our current Year 10 Leaders were the polling officials and carried out their role with the importance the voting process deserves.  Votes are being counted this week and results will be announced in the next newsletter.  Congratulations to all students who nominated, prepared speeches and had the vision to use their voice.

Computer Use

At the end of each year it has been the practice for students to hand back their computers to the IT Dept for the summer break.  The decision has been made this year for students to keep their computers for the summer break.  In order for this to happen all students MUST have the Killester App Store installed. The IT staff have sent instructions to all students. It is hoped that students will be responsible with their computer use and take appropriate care of their device.  Our IT Department will not be available to assist with any technical issues during the holidays.

The summer holidays and the fact that families are able to enjoy eased restrictions offers endless opportunities to enjoy the outdoors and reconnect with family and friends in person.  Our students have spent so much time looking at a screen during remote learning,  so we encourage them to limit their computer use and enjoy the sunshine.
