Peer Support Training

At the end of Term 4, over thirty Year 9 students participated in two days of Peer Support Leaders’ Training becoming 2021 Peer Support Leaders. This training is part of the school’s comprehensive plan and commitment to create a safe and welcoming school. It provides students with the opportunity to develop and practise leadership skills within a supportive environment. These students worked through a range of experiential activities, took part in discussions and completed a wide range of activities.

These Peer Support Leaders will have an opportunity to positively impact on the culture of the school community, influence peer attitudes and behaviours and contribute to positive change. Through this process Peer Support Leaders support Year 7 in the transition to secondary school and will start the Peer Support Program on the second day of school next year.

Congratulations to the students who completed the Peer Support Training and a big thank you to the facilitating teachers Ms Healy, Ms Riley, Mr Ennion, Mr Delaney, Mrs Fisher and Mr Roe.
