Transition and Change

2020 has certainly been a year of changes so it is understandable if you or your child is apprehensive over the transition into 2021. It is important to be aware of how your child is feeling about changing year levels, teachers and possibly friendships. Below are some tips on how to support your child if they are showing signs of anxiety over this change which go beyond the usual nervousness levels of transitioning into a new year. What is transition and change? 

In our daily life we all experience change, such as changing activities or going to different places. Another word to describe change is transition. Transition is a word often used by schools and other professionals to talk about changes in routine and the ability to stop one activity and start another.
