WHAT'S BEEN HAPPENING!

This week in SAKG class the Year 3 and 4 students have been learning about tomatoes. We devised an experiment to see if we could grow tomato seedlings upside down in buckets. After inserting the tomato seedling and filling the bucket with a specialty potting mix each class voted on what to plant at the top: strawberries, miniature rockmelons and watermelons.

A big thank you to Rose Lazzaro, the Activities Officer at Bunnings, Oakleigh, for supplying the hooks, potting mix, watering equipment and the many strawberry plants used in this project. We are looking forward to seeing how our tomatoes will grow.
