Whole School Movie Production

Despte lockdown and home learning, our school Production is going well considering all the obstacles. Each week I meet students online and set work encouraging the students to continue learning the dances, practise the script and build their enthusiasm for our Production.  I am incredibly proud of all our students.

This week our lessons have had a small reprieve from rehearsing for Production and instead we have been looking at designing costumes (Preps and 1/2 classes) and learning about different camera angles and techniques, so we can make informed decisions about the filming of our show. The older students will eventually have a go at filming their own Mini Movie in which they can plan, direct and film a very short movie of their choice, incorporating one of the camera angles we have been looking at.  I am encouraging lego creations, bike riding stunts, sporting prowess and even pets or family members, to star in these movies. They will learn more in the last week of classes.

The Juniors were asked to design and colour a costume that they could wear for the Production and I received some fabulous clowns, lions, monkeys, horses, elephants, hula hoopers and tightrope walkers (see the images below).

A big shout out to the parents and staff who continue to support and assist through home learning, rehearsing dances and scripts. I hope you get a chance to relax and do very little over the holiday break so we are all enthused and ready to go with whatever Term 4 has in mind for us.
