Thank you for your participation in National Science Week!
Hello everyone!
A quick thank you to everyone who celebrated National Science Week during Week 6 of Term 3. We had a blast during the week celebrating the theme Food: Different by Design. With this tasty theme we hosted three after-school events:
- Banana Illusions: the science of bananas (the herb, the fruit and the berry!)
- Polen Traps: the yellow stuff that flowers produce - why it's important for plants and how to catch some for yourself.
- AHPS Food Trivia: A range of food and science questions with a dance-off in-between.
Thank you to the 150+ families who attended across the three events, and congratulations to our prize winners who will receive some tasty treats. Further, all students who attended the events will receive a CARES point on Compass; Aitken Hill Primary School's school-wide positive behaviour initiative to highlight students and their efforts to show the school values of CARING for themselves, each other, their learning and their learning environment.
