Introducing Year 2 & 3 teams

Introducing the year 2 team

Hi, my name is Miss Seidel and I am excited to be teaching 2-18 this year. This will be my 10th year at Plenty Parklands. I have a passion for reading and can often be found sitting around with a good book in one hand and a steaming cup of coffee in the other.  When my nose isn’t in a book I enjoy watching Sci-Fi or simply sitting around catching up with family and friends.  But my favourite past time would have to be spending time with my puppies – Bella & Bailey – they certainly keep me entertained and on my toes, that is unless they are on mine!

Hi! My name is Phillip Van Dorp and I am very happy to be back in the year 2 team again this year. This is my 8th year at Plenty Parklands. I have been very impressed with the fantastic learning the students in 2-19 have completed so far. In my spare time I enjoy cooking, visiting my 3 nephews, finding new café’s in Brunswick and Fitzroy to have a delicious brunch at, and following the mighty Hawks!

Hi, my name is Stephen Tsonas and I am extremely excited to be continuing at Plenty Parklands this year in year 2, after spending a small amount of time here previously in prep. In my spare time I enjoy being active by playing cricket and basketball, walking my greyhound Bomber and exploring the outdoors with friends. But my biggest passion is watching the footy and seeing the Tigers at the MCG. Hopefully I can boast about another premiership at the end of this year!

Hi everyone! It’s Mrs Philippedis and I’m happy and blessed to be working in 2-20 this year.  My teaching days in the classroom are Monday and Tuesday and the other days I am working as a Learning Specialist out of the room with all the year 1s and 2s. At the moment,  I’m blown away with most of the student’s willingness to have a go in all areas of learning with positive outcomes. In my spare time I love spending time with my family, including eating and drinking at Demitri’s Feast in Richmond. Speaking of Richmond, I am a passionate Tigers supporter and look forward to spending time at the G watching them play. GO TIGERS!!!!

Hi! My name is Aimee Deacon and this is my first year here at Plenty Parklands, this year I have the pleasure of teaching 2-20 with Mrs Philippedis. My days in the classroom are Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, when I’m not in the classroom I am with my two children Mila & Hudson. The Plenty Parklands community have been so welcoming and I have really enjoyed getting to know our students and their families. I love being outdoors and enjoy camping, snowboarding and hiking. I am a sports lover and have grown up coaching, umpiring and playing netball, as well as cheering on the mighty Blues!
