Capital works update
School Council and I are very excited to introduce you to the Project name for the upcoming Capital Works and additional upgrades that will be occurring at CSPS in the coming months - Project emPower.
Our school mission at CSPS is to empower stakeholders to embrace learning. This includes empowerment relating to academic performance, student wellbeing and upgrades of facilities and grounds that support high quality teaching and learning and social engagement.
From a Capital Works perspective, we are pleased to announce CSPS have progressed to Stage 2 - Master Plan which summarises consultation with students, staff, parents, community and School Council. In addition, LAW Architects have been extremely busy behind the scenes obtaining a clear understanding, through surveying and reports, of our current grounds and facilities to plan for exciting and realistic upgrades.
My role as Principal is to manage expectations and keep a level head on what can and cannot be achieved. I assure you that I will keep the school community informed every step of the way.

General Store
CSPS has a historically strong association with the Cranbourne South General Store. It has come to light that there is an increase of inappropriate and/or illegal parking at the store. In addition, it is extremely disappointing that there are reports of adults being disrespectful and rude to the General Store employees.
It is not the responsibility of CSPS to police the parking or behaviour at the General Store but share a moral obligation to support the General Store in such matters.
The owners of the General Store have my full support in implementing steps to decrease inappropriate car parking or abusive behaviour from any CSPS adult, such as reporting to the appropriate authorities.

Child Safe Standards
Child Safe Standard 7: Empowering children
Promoting children’s participation can benefit their experience at school because it provides valuable information about their experience.
Most importantly, when children have opportunities to participate and feel their contributions are valued, they are more likely to speak up when harmed or feeling unsafe.
