Parent Information

Uniform Shop-Please Note will be closed until 22/03/22

Our uniform shop (located in the main building) is open each Tuesday & Friday at 9am. The uniform shop is run & co-ordinated by parents, one of whom (Robyn) has retired as her youngest child started high school this year so we are seeking a volunteer/s to help  our lovely mum, Kim.  Please let the office know if you are able to help. Thank you.

The duck race which stops Warrandyte will commence at 2.30pm, Saturday 19 March. Ducks are available to purchase from the office at $3.00.

Only UNDECORATED DUCKS will be racing this year, (to keep our river free from sequins, glitter etc).

Children are very welcome to decorate their duck and not enter the race, decorated ducks will be on display at the festival for all the enjoy.

The Warrandyte Primary School Reconciliation Action Plan working group is wanting to commence for 2022. Our Reconciliation Action Plan is our formal statement of commitment to promoting reconciliation between the wider Australian community and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

The group looks to help our school and community to support Reconciliation. Last year we assisted with arranging for the painting of the water tank by a local Indigenous artist and the installation of the 3 flagpoles which enables us to fly the three flags; both of these were possible with the RAP school grant from Bendigo Bank. We have many more ideas and exciting plans for WPS this year.

If you would like to know more about joining this group or know someone who might, as the more people the better, please send me an email and we will try to arrange for a meeting one evening soon that might suit (email: dioneveal@hotmail.com)

Parent Fee Schedule 2022

The 2022  Booklist, fee schedule & term 1 excursion planners, have been entered onto COMPASS.  We ask parents/carers to please pay these fees as soon as possible.

As you can imagine there are many resources required to running a school and providing excellence in learning opportunities for students. Funding from DET does not cover the cost of everything we want to provide to all our students.

Our school now relies on the generous and voluntary support of parents and community members to make up shortfalls in funding.

School Council  would be very grateful of your over and above financial support for all students learning in 2022.

If anyone is having financial difficulties, please contact either the office or Nieta, the Principal, for a confidential discussion.

Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund applications

The Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund helps eligible families to cover the costs of school trips, camps and sporting activities.

If you have a valid means-tested concession card, such as a Veterans Affairs Gold Card, Centrelink Health Care Card or Pensioner Concession Card, or are a temporary foster parent, you may be eligible. There is also a special consideration category for asylum seeker and refugee families.

Payment amounts this year are $125 for eligible primary school students.   Payments are made direct to the school to use towards expenses relating to camps, excursions and sporting activities for the benefit of your child.

If you applied for CSEF through our school last year, you do not need to complete an application form this year, unless there has been a change in your family circumstances.

If you would like to apply for the first time, please contact the school office for an application form.

You can also download the form, and find out more about the program and eligibility, on the Department of Education and Training’s Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund web page.

Check with the school office if you are unsure, and please return completed forms to the school office as soon as possible.
