Bruce McKay Makes Annual Visit for the McKay House Tie Ceremony

We as the McKay House community are always incredibly fortunate to continue the legacy that is Fred McKay each and everyday at St Philip's. 

We are even more fortunate to regularly have visits from Fred’s son, Bruce, who is able to continue to champion many of Fred’s wonderful causes.

Last Friday we had our McKay Year 12 Leaders tie presentation which Bruce attended. He presented each of our leaders with their ties after providing us with an enlightening speech about the legend that is Fred McKay. 

Leaders presented on the day were:

McKay House Captains – Eliza Schmidt and Chloe Caldow 

McKay Vice House Captain – Keegan Keen

SPC College Captain – Alethea Fernandes

SPC Wellbeing Captain – Natasha Bartlett 

It was lovely to hold this event in the Boarders' Quad on a beautiful sunny day with all McKay students applauding their peers on their leadership roles.
