Phillip Island Schoolies 2015
Schoolies Safety
While it's important to celebrate the significant achievement of finishing Year 12, it's also essential to help your children do it safely.
Looking after yourself and your friends and Sexting and social media fact sheets offer practical information for school leavers on how to celebrate safely with friends over this period, including using social media wisely.
It is important that you know your children's school leaver plans for end of year celebrations, including where they will be staying, names of their friends who they will be travelling with, and how to get in touch if they need to.
School leavers should register where they are going at: www.youthcentral.vic.gov.au/schoolies or register their party with Partysafe at www.police.vic.gov.au/partysafe.

Seeking Host Families In 2016
Osaka Seikei High School, Japan
We have our annual visit from Osaka Seikei High School (all girls) from 15 to 23 March 2016 and will be seeking approximately 25 families from Frankston High School to host these Japanese students for eight days. They are 16 years old and do not need their own room. Past host families have found the experience very rewarding and enjoyable. Your child does not have to do Japanese to host a student. A fee of approximately $20 per day will be paid to each family to cover guest expenses.
Letsibogo High School, Soweto, South Africa
Each year Frankston High School sponsors one female student from Soweto, South Africa who will complete all of Year 11 at our school. The student is selected according to her potential to graduate. Our sponsorship provides her with the opportunity to experience life and learning in a privileged environment. Host families are needed for approximately three-four weeks at a time throughout the year of 2016 where we rely on the generosity of families to provide food and accommodation.
Please consider - it is always a challenge to find enough host families.

Moonlit Sanctuary School Holiday Program
Moonlit Sanctuary is a Wildlife Conservation Park located in Pearcedale. It is a place where people can experience the rare and unusual animals that once roamed the Australian Bush. We are committed to raising awareness and educating people about these wonderful creatures and the need for their conservation.
One of the educational programs we offer is our Junior Ranger School Holiday Program. This is run by our Education Officers and offers children hands on experience with environmental activities, native animal care and other fun activities.
We operate without government support, and are entirely dependent on funds raised to support our work. The income from our holiday program, and visits to the Sanctuary in general help support our conservation, breeding and education programs.
