Baby Visits

Over the last fortnight, we’ve had lots of baby visits from the recently born children of our staff.  Great to see such happy, healthy Croydon Hills families.

School Council AGM

Last night at our School Council AGM we elected our Office Bearers. Congratulations and thank you to Sian Jamison (President), Angela Ricketson (Vice President), and Matthew Cook (Treasurer).

In addition, the School Council co-opted Parent Community Member, Christian Hesse. Christian was not elected in the recent ballot, however Council recognised his willingness to be involved in school business via his attendance as a guest to School Council last year and the skills he brings in community engagement, education and training, Occupational Health and Safety, and Industrial Relations, which will be valuable to the work of School Council.

Annual Report

Last night the school’s 2022 Annual Report was also ratified by School Council.

The Annual Report to the School Community (Annual Report) provides Principals and School Councils with an opportunity to share the year’s achievements and progress with the school community. This includes reflecting on the school’s performance and explaining the positive impact of school improvement efforts on student outcomes.

The school’s 2022 Annual Report is located on the school’s website, alongside the 2021 – 2024 Strategic Plan (4-year plan) and the accompanying 2023 Annual Implementation Plan

The Annual Report contains four main sections:

  • The ‘About Our School’ commentary provides a brief background on the school and an overview of the school’s performance over the previous calendar year.
  • The ‘School Context’ describes the school’s vision, values, and purpose. Details include the school’s geographic location, size and structure, social characteristics, enrolment characteristics, and special programs.
  • The ‘Progress Towards Strategic Goals, Student Outcomes, and Student Engagement’ section allows schools to reflect on highlights related to the implementation of and progress towards the School Strategic Plan and Annual Implementation Plan, and efforts to improve student learning, well-being, and engagement.
  • The 'Performance Summary' includes data representations reflecting the School Profile, Learning, Wellbeing, and Engagement. Highlights include our school’s performance against similar schools and the state relative to Parent Satisfaction, School Staff Climate, Academic Performance, the students’ Sense of Connectedness to School, the School’s Management of Bullying, and Financial Position.
