POLDING SWIMMING CARNIVAL

Good luck to our swimmers who are competed at the Polding Swimming Carnival in Sydney today.

Charlie Dunst, Annie Davidson, Fletcher Stimson, Alex Bijnens, Elijah Skilton, Isabella Harding-Brown, Klara Bunnemeyer, Priya Hitchcock, Sara Scott, Emilia Bunnemeyer, Liam Gallagher, Brody Hill, Thomas McDougall and Edward McCann.

POLDING TOUCH FOOTBALL

Well done to Tyler O'Neile and Lacey Hutton who travelled to Parkes on Tuesday to compete at the Polding Touch Football Carnival. Both players represented the Armidale Diocese extremely well.

ST NICHOLAS CROSS COUNTRY

On Monday 3 April we will hold our annual Cross Country at Powerhouse Park.

Students will walk to the park to run and then walk back to school. Parents and friends are welcome to attend. Please head to COMPASS events to give your child/ren consent for this event.

The first 6 competitors in the races for 8-12 year olds will travel to Barraba to compete at the Armidale Diocesan Athletics Carnival on Friday 19 May 2023.

Just a reminder that the majority of sporting opportunities are only on Compass and it needs to be checked on a regular basis.

DIOCESAN WINTER TRIALS

Wow - we have some incredible sporting talent at St Nicholas and yet again it shone through with a record number of students being selected in Diocesan teams at the Winter Trials. These children will now compete at the Polding Winter Trials here in Tamworth on Friday 28 April.

Hockey - Campbell Judd, Ruby Cook, Madeline Robinson, Sofia Michell, Ivy Rodda, Ivy Thomas, Lyla Davidson and Lucy Evans.

Netball - Armanii Ramirez.

Soccer - Henry Armstrong, Isabella Harding-Brown, India Hicks and Lillian Freund.

Rugby League - Angus McManus, Tyler O'Neile, Xavier Parris and Archie Taylor.

RUN FOR YOUR LIFE GYM

Jay Stone, who has been working with our children in their sport time, is opening a gym in Term 2 that is focused on fundamental movement skills as well as expert training for runners. Please see the flier below for more details.

Dear Netball Families,

Teams have been entered for the Saturday Netball Competition. Notes went home earlier this term about teams and coaches. Your coach/es will contact you before the holidays to discuss training etc.

We have been given word that the netball uniforms have been shipped, so we are hopeful that they will go home before the holidays- yay! Coaches pack will also go out this term. The gear bags will be another few weeks yet- hopefully before the holidays.

The first round of netball will be on Saturday 29th April 2023.

Please note that since the last TNA meeting, times will be back to preCOVID timeslots- 12pm for skills, Net, Set, Go! (Kinder, Year 1, 2 & 3 games) and 10 years.

1pm for Years 5 & 6 games.
