SPORTS DRINKS - PRIME ETC

We have recently seen some children bringing sports drinks to school such as 'Prime'. Please only send water in a drink bottle for your child to drink during the school day. Poppers are allowed to be sent in for break times. We appreciate your support in not sending in 'Prime' or other sports or energy drinks to school.

WELCOME TO THE HIVE & THE ZONE

Tomorrow we welcome our families of students in Kindergarten, Year 1, Year 5 and Year 6 to come along to your child's classroom to have a look at some of the learning they have been doing. This opportunity is available for parents from 8:15 - 8:45am. We hope to see many parents there.

EASTER HAT PARADE

Next Tuesday 4th April, we invite you to attend our Easter Hat Parade where Kinder, Year 1 and Year 2 will proudly showcase their hats they have been working on at school. The parade will be at 2:15pm on the school oval. We hope to see you there.

Calling Kinder and Year 1 parents for book covering help!!

Recently we purchased an enormous number of books to boost our home reading supplies, yet we are unable to begin using them until they are covered. We really need this big job completed by the end of this term.

If you can possibly help and would like a bag of books and contact sent home, please get in touch over the next few days via email below.

Alternatively, if you are free to pop by school for an hour or so on the upcoming pupil free day (Thursday 6th April between 10am-2pm) please also let us know via email. We will have a “book covering station” set up along with some simple activities to occupy your children. Think of it as a little social opportunity whilst ‘many hands make light work’!

Many thanks in advance.

SMART WATCHES

If your child is choosing to wear a smart watch to school it is important to look at the watch settings so that a child’s learning is not affected if used at the wrong times. Smart watches will need to be "locked" during school hours. Please be assured that if you need to get a message to your child, the front office staff can get the message to them for you. Thank you for your support with this matter.

ATHLETE'S FOOT VOUCHERS

Our school has taken part in the Athlete's Foot school loyalty program. Every time a pair of shoes is bought at the Athlete's Foot and St Nicholas is mentioned as the child's school, it earns us vouchers. This year we have several $20 vouchers to give away. The first person from each grade to come to Mrs Daley tomorrow and correctly answer the riddle will receive a voucher. Good luck!!

If you were running a race and you passed the person in 2nd place, what place would you be in now?

SCHOOL UNIFORM - SUMMER TO WINTER

With the change of weather and winter approaching, it is time to consider the conversion from summer to winter uniform. We expect that the days will still be warm enough for the students to wear summer uniform on the commencement of Term 2, however it is expected that all students will be wearing the full winter uniform by Monday 8th May. Lowes stock all the St Nicholas uniforms, or we have a selection available in our clothing pool.

EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST FOR DRUM LESSONS

If your child is interested in learning the drums at school please contact Isaac Smith from the Conservatorium of Music on 0467 666 910.

Positive COVID-19 cases

If a student or staff member receives a positive result with a RAT or PCR test they should:

1.Record the positive result through the Services NSW website or app
