Principal's Update

End of Term 1

As we approach the end of Term 1, I wanted to remind you that the last day of school for this term will be Thursday, 6th April. We will be finishing on this day at the normal time of 3:20pm. We hope your children have had a fantastic term filled with learning, fun, and making new friends.

As you prepare for the school holidays, we encourage you to continue to engage your children in meaningful learning experiences. Reading books, visiting museums, and engaging in outdoor activities are all great ways to keep your children learning and growing.

All students will return on Monday, 24th April for Term 2. We have lots of exciting things planned and look forward to another successful term.

Parent/Teacher Interviews

We would like to invite you to our upcoming Parent/Teacher Interviews, which will take place on Thursday March 30th, from 3:30 pm to 7:00 pm. This is a great opportunity for you to meet with your child's teacher and discuss their progress in school.

To book your appointment, you can log in to Compass and select the preferred time slot that suits you. If you require any assistance with booking your appointment, please feel free to contact our school office, and we will be happy to assist you.

The Parent/Teacher Interviews are a valuable opportunity for you to discuss your child's strengths, weaknesses, and progress with their teacher. It is also an excellent opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about their academic or personal development.

Please ensure that you arrive on time for your appointment, and that you allow enough time to speak with your child's teacher. If you are unable to attend the parent-teacher interviews, please let your child's teacher know, and they will arrange an alternative time to discuss your child's progress.

We look forward to seeing you at the parent-teacher interviews and working together to support your child's learning and development.

Bus Zone

Thank you to everyone for your patience and understanding with the new bus zone at the front of the school. Unfortunately, there have been a few incidents with cars parking in the bus zone and parents pulling in to pick students up. Please remember that the Bus Zone must be kept free for buses at all times and families are not to pull into the Bus Zone at any time to pick students up.

ANZAC Day

On Tuesday 25th April we will commemorate ANZAC Day. This is a public holiday and as such there will be no school for students. We encourage students to attend the Dawn Service, Parade and/or ANZAC Ceremony. Students who would like to represent the Cobram Primary School in the parade must wear full school uniform. More details regarding the services and parade will be released to parents closer to the date.

Have a great week and we look forward to seeing everyone at Parent/Teacher Interviews next week!

Kind Regards

Claye Runnalls
