Term 2 - Uniform
Students may continue to wear their summer uniform into Term 2; however, if the weather is cool, they may wear their winter uniform. We ask that whichever uniform your child elects to wear, that they wear it correctly- please do not mix summer and winter uniform items. Thank you for your support with this. We will officially change into winter uniform after the long weekend in June.

This 45-minute webinar provides families with strategies for supporting children and young people to have safe, positive experiences when playing games online. It is designed for parents and carers of children aged 7 to 14.

Mobile Phone and other Electronic Devices
At St Joseph's we acknowledge that parents may wish their child to carry a mobile phone for personal safety reasons however, once students arrive at school they must hand in their mobile phone, smart watch or other electronic device at the school office. Devices will be returned to the students at the end of the day. All electronic devices that are brought in to school are at the owners risk. No liability will be accepted by the school in the event of loss, theft or damage of the device.
P & F Meeting
The next P & F meeting will be held on Tuesday 2nd May 2023 at 5:30pm in the staffroom. The position of President is currently vacant and we will be looking to fill this position at the meeting. All parents and friends are welcome to attend.
P & F Easter Raffle
We would like to take this opportunity to thank those families who kindly donated items and purchased and sold tickets to support this fundraising event. We are delighted to announce that a total of $1,068 was raised, which will go back into resources for our school.
Mother's Day Mass and Morning Tea
We would like to invite all mothers, grandmothers, aunts and friends to our Mother’s Day Mass on Friday 12th May (Week 3) at 9.00am at St Patrick's Church.
Following Mass, guests are invited to stay for morning tea outside the hall. For catering purposes please RSVP to kdewhurst@arm.catholic.edu.au
Mother's Day Stall
The P &F will be holding a Mother's Day Stall Friday 12th May. All students will have the opportunity to purchase a gift for Mum, Grandma or a special woman in their lives. All gifts are $7 each (limit of 2 per child). A note regarding this was sent home with students last week.
Chess
Chess is held in the hall each Monday during lunch with Mrs McNeill. Chess is one of the most powerful educational tools available to strengthen a child's mind. Whatever a child's age, chess can enhance concentration, patience and perseverance. All year levels are welcome.
Student Absences
Due to Government Legislation, notification of your child's absence must be received no later than 7 days after your child's last day of absence. Please lodge all student absences on Compass Parent Portal or notify the school.
Students must attend school regularly so they can achieve their educational best and increase their career and life options. Just one absence per fortnight adds up to 20 missed days per year; this equates to 260 days from Kindergarten to Year 6 or 1.25 school years!
School Fees
Thank you to those families who have paid their school fees for Term 1. The fees were due on 31st March 2023. Statements were emailed to families/carers. If you have not received an email containing your statement, please check your spam/junk folder.
Payment options are clearly indicated on the bottom section of your statement. By choosing the Bpay form of payment, you are able to set up a payment plan. You can stop, start or change it to suit your requirements throughout the year.
You can also view your ongoing statement of fees through the Compass Parent Portal.
We continue to accept cash and have EFTPOS facilities available.
All canteen, clothing pool and uniform purchases will continue to use QKR.
