Week 2 Of Lent

This Sunday 5th March, we celebrate the second week of Lent.

In Sunday’s Gospel we will hear how Jesus was transfigured, which means transformed or changed on the mountain. 

God then said, “This is my Son. Listen to him!”

This week God tells us to listen to Jesus because his words are like signposts that show us the way to live. Let us take some time now to reflect on Jesus’ words, think about them and put them into action in our lives.

Prayer

Loving God, 

through your Son, Jesus, you show us how to be happy.

In this special time of Lent, may we listen to Jesus as he tells us how to care for one another, 

how to encourage and support one another and how to be accepting and welcoming to all.

We ask this prayer through Jesus, your Son.
