School newsletter PFA update

It’s hard to believe we are at the end of Week 7 in Term 1 already!

There has been a busy start to the year with a few more things planned for the rest of the term.

Mum's Day Out

Unfortunately, we have had to postpone the Mum’s Day out until Term 2.  The venue is unavailable on 18th March which we had as a provisional date. Watch this space for more communication to follow in Term 2 regarding the mum’s day out!

Hot Cross Bun Drive

Hopefully you have received your order form for Hot Cross Buns which was sent home yesterday, please dig it out of the school bag if this is news to you!!

If you could please send back the completed order form with payment to school with your child as soon as possible. The cut off date is Wednesday 22nd March and your Hot Cross buns will be delivered fresh from the bakery to the school on Thursday 30th March.

If you are in Year 3/4 TB watch out for communication from the class reps about helping to distribute the Hot Cross buns.

Easter Raffle

The Easter Raffle is set for Thursday 6th April on the last day of school at a special assembly.  The hampers/prizes will be made up of donations of chocolate and other goodies from families! All donations big or small are greatly appreciated.

Donations can be dropped off at the school office from 20th March onwards. We will be asking for help to assemble the hampers, if you are in Year 3/4 TB group keep an eye out for messages regarding volunteers needed.

Meeting Update

We had our PFA meeting on 7th March, there are lots of plans in motion for the rest of the year.   We will be doing a call out at the end of term for volunteers to work at the Bunnings BBQ in Moorabbin on Sunday 30th April. Please sign up for this event if you have some spare time on this date. We will need 5 volunteers per shift and the BBQ goes for the whole day.

Also coming up in Term 2 we have Mother’s Day to look forward to and the family night.

The Cake Raffle Roster is very successful so far, lots of lovely creations have been baked so thanks to all the families who have baked already. We look forward each week to see what delectable treats are in store for the winners.

Don’t forget to get your order forms in for the Hot Cross Buns and remember to ask friends and family if they would like some too.

Regards,                                                                                                                                                            The PFA Committee
