Breakfast Club
Statistically, 1 in 7 Victorian children come to school hungry each day. Not eating a healthy breakfast can have negative effects on a child’s health, concentration and wellbeing. We are so thankful to our parent volunteers who help to run the Breakfast Club Program to support all our LPS students to maximise their potential. Students have the choice of Cheerios, Weetbix, Weeties, gluten free Maple Crunch, honey and vegemite sandwiches, as well as milk and fruit options.
We are looking for volunteers again this year. The program runs from 8.20am (volunteers are asked to come at 8.10am to set up) and usually runs on a Tuesday and Thursday morning (this could change depending on parent availability). Volunteering consists of making sandwiches, serving cereal as well as setting and packing up and washing dishes. If you think you might be able to help one morning, or even for some of the time (children welcome), please email Jade Hansted (jade.hansted@education.vic.gov.au) for more information.
