JSC News

Our JSC has been working together to learn about the upcoming ANZAC day march. They have been coming together during their lunch breaks, to share their knowledge of the story of the ANZACs and prepare for their participation in the ANZAC day march in Sturt Street on Tuesday April 25th.

Our JSC leaders along with our School Captains, will represent our school during the ANZAC ceremony, with our captains, laying a wreath at the Ballarat Cenotaph. Participating in the ceremony provides our students with a wonderful opportunity to be part of a significant event with our wider community, develop their confidence and represent our incredible school. Thank you to our families, for supporting our students in this endeavour, we appreciate all of your efforts.

If you are wanting to discuss the significance of the ANZAC day march with your child, this read aloud of Catriona Hoy’s, “My Grandad Marches on ANZAC day”, is terrific conversation starter. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j1wfj9PfwgA

The JSC leaders did an exceptional job in selling zooper doopers to their peers during lunchtime on Wednesday. A huge thank you to the other staff who supported our leaders in the practical aspect of running a stall. What amazing things we can achieve when we work together!

Take care everyone,
