What's Happening In RE

Year 8 RE classes have ended 2022 on a high note, celebrating Reconciliation Services as an important part of our Advent preparations. As a culmination of the ‘Reconciliation’ unit, students chose music, composed prayers and reflections and joined with teachers in thoughtfully organising all elements of these special services. Father Paddy Sykes explained our chosen Gospel readings and guided us through an examination of conscience. The opportunity to seek forgiveness and recommit to Gospel values inspired a real sense of renewal and hope for teachers and students.

It was also a wonderful opportunity for Year 8 students to thank Father Paddy for the many ways he has enriched our College Community during his time at South Wagga Parish. Students wrote cards, speeches and even a poem for Father Paddy, wishing him well in his new parish of St Joseph’s in Junee.
