Clergy Retreat

Fr Kingsley will be joining with Diocesan priests from Sunday 20th November (afternoon) until Friday 25th November for their annual retreat.  Please keep Fr and his colleagues in your prayers.

The Solemnity of Jesus Christ the King of the Universe

This Sunday is the last Sunday of the Church year which means we focus on the final and glorious things to come!  It also means that next Sunday is already the First Sunday of Advent.

When we say Jesus is a king, we mean a few things. First, He is our Shepherd. As our Shepherd He desires to lead us personally as a loving father would. He wants to enter our lives personally, intimately and carefully, never imposing Himself but always offering Himself as our guide.

Remembrance Day Liturgy

Last Friday, students and staff joined with family, friends and some special visitors to commemorate Remembrance Day.  Led by our Year 6 students, the liturgy was both moving and respectful.  Thank you to our St Joseph's community for contributing to this significant event.

Immaculata Community

We welcomed several members of the Sisters of the Immaculata community to our school last Friday.  Sister Celine Marie and Sister Mary Josephine, together with Jerome, Anton, Luke, Bianca, Iggy and Maggie, joined with our St Joseph's community to commemorate Remembrance Day.  Following this, they visited each classroom to share 'fun facts' about themselves and how they became missionaries and part of the Immaculata community. The group finished with a short prayer and song that all students could participate in. Founded with the desire for spiritual renewal in parishes, through Adoration and faith formation, the Sisters of the Immaculata were formed on the 8th of December, 2008.  The Sisters are based in Armidale, NSW, Australia.

Prayer

Dear Lord,

You are the sovereign King of the Universe.

You are Lord of all.

Come reign in my life and make my soul Your holy dwelling place.

Lord, come transform our world and make it a place of true peace and justice.

May Your Kingdom come! Jesus, I trust in You.

Amen.

God bless,

Mrs Wendy Rheinberger
