Shared Stories
This year we celebrate 23 students from Years 7-12 for being involved in the "Shared Stories Anthology" with the theme of 2022 being IMAGINE IF.
Students submitted work from Art, VCD and English classes and many students created artwork and writing independently outside of school. Congratulations to the following students on now being published artists or writers.
Year 7 - Amy Tran, Yoling Tran, Hyojoo Jang and Iona Byju
Year 8 - Nimat Cheema, Vivian Nguyen, Mandy Li, Vivian La, Sophie Tran, Anamik Rajesh and Rhea Fernandez
Year 9 - Maia Moncherry, Jessica Tan and Francheska Bu
Year 10 - Chelsea Nguyen
Year 11 - Cathy Ma, Taegan Truong, Holly Camp, Christine Thai, Christine Vu, Natalie Te, Candice Chan Yai Ching
Year 12 - Link Coleman and Angie Chan Yai Ching
Congratulations also to Cathy Ma who won the Victorian Semester 1 Visual art prize and Christine Thai who won the Hornet Press prize for Killester students.
All of the students were presented an edition of the Shared Stories book to keep and celebrated watching David Knoff, the amazing scientist who spent almost 600 days in Antarctica during the pandemic. Here is the link to the opening:
