This week we began swimming lessons for children in Foundation to Year 4 and they have been having a fabulous time. I have seen so many super swimmers and I think we will do really well at future district swimming carnivals. The district swimming carnival was also held on Tuesday. Living Waters children swam well, cheered on the team and were very well behaved. Well done Living Waters! Results to come.

We are fast approaching the end of year and preparations are under way to form classes for 2023. As per your enrolment contract, letters home and notifications in the newsletter all year, families are required to give a full term's notice of the intention to depart. Thanks to those families who have given adequate notice. Invoices will be issued in the next fortnight to those who have not given adequate notice.

You will have noticed the “No parking on the verge” signage in Kramer St that has been there for some time. Council have sent me photos of offending cars this week with notification that they intend to fine cars that breech the regulations. Please think of the safety of our children and the neighbourhood children and park in the designated carpark.

Last night I had the privilege of announcing the 2023 Children’s University Awards for our Living Waters Students. Special Mention to Kholo Moyo who received a certificate for 100 hours, and Elise Schoonover and Emma Schoonover who received a certificate for 60 hours of learning. There were many children who received certificates for 30 hours of learning. I have mentioned before that Children’s University is a partnership we have with Charles Darwin University to provide a vehicle for our lifelong learners to receive recognition for their effort and we are one of two schools in town to offer this experience. Ultimately the work the children do can lead to scholarships at the University for a course of their choice. Special thanks to Miss Sharreena and Miss Nertney for all their work to support the learners. Congratulations everyone, I felt very proud to witness your success.

I’m looking forward to seeing families on site for all the typical end of year festivities including the Nativity, graduation, carols, awards and closing worship. 14 days of school remain and lots of learning and fun is to be had.
