ONLINE VIRTUAL ART EXCURSION - Matisse: Life & Spirit, Masterpieces from the Centre Pompidou, Paris

This week our Year 11 and Year 9 students were fortunate to experience the current exhibition Matisse: Life & Spirit, Masterpieces from the Centre Pompidou, Paris, on show at the Art Gallery of NSW, as a virtual excursion. This exhibition offered an extraordinary immersion in the range and depth of the art of Henri Matisse, one of the world’s most beloved, innovative and influential artists. Filled with brilliant colour, dynamic energy, visual joy and emotional power, it took the students on an inspirational journey through the life and art of this ceaselessly inventive and life-affirming painter.

The HSC and IBDP courses both require students to experience exhibitions and visit galleries, which has been impossible to plan this year due to COVID restrictions, so this online tour was a most valuable opportunity.

Movember is the leading charity changing the face of men's health. These distinguished gentlemen have succeeded in raising $1200 for Movember so far, and there is still time to donate.
