Principal's Update

A huge thank you to the many families and community members who have contributed vouchers towards our raffle.  We have been overwhelmed by the number of vouchers and in-kind support we have received and are deeply appreciative of the generosity shown.  The arrangements for the raffle are currently being finalised and more information will be provided shortly.

Last week’s Book Week provided a great day of celebration.  Thank you again to Nicole and staff for their organisation and to all families for their support.  It was great to see students having so much fun and we appreciate the time and effort that went into planning and making costumes.  A total of $700 was raised to buy books for our library.

Next Monday, all students will have the opportunity to participate and learn two dances through an online incursion with Footsteps Dance.  Dance is a key part of the Arts Curriculum and enables students to develop body awareness, explore creativity and performance, and to also develop a broader understanding of diverse cultures, their traditions and the role dance plays in society.

Planning for the upcoming Year 3/4 and 5/6 camps is now well underway and teachers are organising forms and additional information as quickly as they can.  Many thanks to those parents who have volunteered their assistance.  Due to the short time-frame, please ensure that all forms and other requests for information (eg. dietary requirements, medical forms, etc) are returned to school as quickly as possible.

This term, parent teacher interviews will be held from the 22nd-24th November.  These interviews will be held online or by telephone and booking information will be provided next week.

In preparation for next year, transition activities can now be held.  Prep transition will commence on Tuesday the 16th November, as part of the Kinder program, and a whole of school transition day will be held on Tuesday 7th December.  Year 6 students will also transition to the Secondary College on this day.
