SPC MTB Track

There is as always much going on with things MTB!

The SPC MTB Trail is forging ahead with connection close on so many of its twists and turns. So much more material has been used in its construction than ever imagined but the results will be nothing less than spectacular. This MTB School of Excellence is rock armouring its way into history. Check out the progress photos and get excited.

Tom Stockwell and Owen Chenhall placed first and second in the Hours of Pump and Power in recent weeks with a number of other SPC riders putting their skills to the test.

We are lucky enough to have two riders heading for the Australian National Championships in Maydena in mid-February. Tom Stockwell and Connor Hester will be representing the Territory and are lucky enough to be scoring $850 worth of funding from AusCycling to get them onto the Junior Travel Assistance Program.

Our BMX racers have wrapped up their season putting down some very fast times in their Time Trials and are expecting to train through the summer with National BMX rounds on at the end of January just before school goes back. We will also be lucky enough to have two National Championships Rounds of BMX here in Alice Springs during August. We are looking forward to our own boarding house team to get on down for that!

The Academy riders have been hard at work on our trail on Thursdays and out for rides on Tuesdays. Our ride the other wek took a turn with a 'Trail Fairy Movement' session.

Helping the local trail network get back into better shape after all the rain. CARR are encouraging 5 minute sessions by all trail users to benefit the trails while it is easy to pull buffell out. https://www.facebook.com/CARRMTB/videos/937363563838986
