Preparing today's learners for uncertainty: a webinar for parents

'Uncertainty tolerance' (UT), or how we process and respond to unknown or complex situations, is increasingly recognised as an essential workplace skill. In this webinar, Monash University Associate Professor Michelle Lazarus will focus on how parents can identify and support their school’s initiatives in developing students’ uncertainty tolerance to prepare them for their futures in further education and work.
During this session we will:
define uncertainty tolerance
identify why uncertainty tolerance is a critical workplace skill
discuss the impacts of uncertainty tolerance development on students’ success
outline practical methods for supporting your learner’s uncertainty tolerance development.

Vocational Education and Training (VET) Student Awards

YEAR 12: IMPORTANT KEY DATES
Since there will now be no December round offers for domestic students, VTAC has moved the ATAR/Results release date. ATAR and Results will now be released on Thursday 16th December, 7 am for all VCE students. Please ensure that you register yourself at www.resultsandatar.vic.edu.au to access your results.
Please also note the following regarding 'Change of Preference' periods:
Domestic Students - Change of Preference is between 16th December - 20th December 2021, 4 pm (1st offer round 14th Jan 2022)
International Students - Change of Preference is between 16th December - 17th December 12 pm (1st offer round 21st Dec 2021)
(Please check VTAC for further offer round dates and Change of Preference dates)
Please note that Ms. Jakubicki will be available for course counseling if required during the Change of Preference period. Days available include Thursday 16th December (8.30 am-4.30 pm) & Friday 17th December (8.30 am-11.30 pm). If you require assistance with your course selections please do not leave this until the last minute as I may not have time to see you.
The best way to book an appointment is to send me a message via TEAMS. Can I also please remind students that in addition to the preferred courses on their list that they also include some pathway options to ensure they receive an offer.
Most tertiary institutions will be open during 'Change of Preference' period. Some will run either online sessions or on-campus sessions to assist students with finalising their course preferences. Please visit tertiary’s websites for further details.
A more detailed list of Change of Preference information, course round offers, etc will be posted up on Year 12 TEAMS soon so please keep an eye out for this.
