French Cultural Experience

In French, we have been learning all about the different French cultures and celebrations. We have been learning about Bastille day, Epiphany, April fools’ day and more! It was super interesting learning about the way they celebrate. The main reason we got to have crepes was because we were celebrating French cultural day, which we were meant to have in term 3 but due to COVID we had to put it off. But when it was confirmed we will be back at school we were all so excited knowing that we will be able to finally do it. We got a savoury and a sweet crepe and they were both delicious. The options for savoury were, ham and cheese or cheese and spinach. The options for sweet were chocolate, lemon and sugar or caramel sauce. For this experience we did have to order in French which was a great way to use our French language to order food, which will help us in the future when we will get to travel to France!

On Friday, November 12th 2021, we had the opportunity to eat some délicieuses crêpes. We had the choice of one savoury crêpe (also known as a galette) and one sweet. There was quite a range of options with ham/cheese, spinach/cheese, salted caramel, chocolate and lemon/sugar, which meant that there was something for everyone. We ordered in French, which was both nerve-wracking and exciting. Even though it was raining, it was so fun to eat crêpes, talk in French and hang out with friends.
