Year 6 Spotlight

A Message from the 2021 Year 6 Cohort
On behalf of Year 6, the student Community Leaders have put together a reflection of the year.
This year has been challenging for all of us, but it has made us stronger and more resilient. As they say, everything happens for a reason. Although it was a very challenging two years, we hope people have recognised the positives of the lockdowns and remote learning.
Being at Fairfield Primary School for seven years has certainly been a roller-coaster, from lows to highs in seconds, it has absolutely been a great ride. The teachers, staff, classmates, parents and community have helped us push through many different circumstances and problems.
Fairfield Primary School has offered many different opportunities, from camps to leadership roles, extension programs for kids, interschool sport to learn new sports and skills, and incursions and excursions to study many different things – from science to sport. And of course, choir and orchestra to get kids playing and singing music as a group.
The teachers use modern and accurate techniques to easily explain a task to students. Different strategies blow our minds every day. Art has enabled us to show our creativity, PE has extended skills, abilities and lead to learning new sports. French has taught us many phrases and words and will help us in the future when we go travelling. And last of all, Performing Arts has increased our knowledge of instruments and of course music.
- As a Fairfield Primary School student, I think FPS has given me lots of opportunities to expand in my learning and friendships. ~ Gianni S, 6
- FPS is a fun and enjoyable school with many opportunities and many great teachers and students. ~ Zoe B, 6A
- FPS has taught me a lot of different subjects. It also has a great sport program. ~ William S, 6C
Thank you so much to the Fairfield Primary School staff, teachers and community, and of course Paul and Sarah.
