Principal Report

School on-site resumption

A letter to all parents went home today via Sentral, in the form of an email.  I have also asked teaching staff to share it to parents / carers via Showbie / See-Saw.  Please look out for it and read carefully.

The letter outlines key dates and facets, to this point, around the resumption of on-site learning.

Further information and details around our local context will be forthcoming next week, once confirmed, but I encourage you all to exercise patience at this time.

I reiterate, that I will continue to make the best decisions I can for our school community, all its stakeholders and for the well-being and learning of our children / students as soon as is practical.  Further DET detailed advice arrives a number of days following media releases.  Myself and our Executive are working a large number of hours to deliver the best work place and learning environment we can for all to enjoy, in a timely fashion.

I'm sure there are many students and families looking forward to Tuesday 26 May (F-2) or Tuesday 9 June (Yr3-6)!

Online parent platform success

Thank you to the 81 contributors and participants from last evening's online parent briefing.  I was heartened to see how many caring and passionate families we have in our community to support our children.

We shared information, as well as responding to some great questions - thank you again, to you all for your considered input and attendance.  I appreciate too, a number of parents who contacted me to put in an apology.

Parent feedback to remote learning

Last evening, some participants in the parent online briefing, completed a brief survey, to assist in gathering crucial data related to the relative success of remote learning.

The link below is to a Google Form and is for the parents who were unable to access it last evening AND for anyone willing to provide feedback.

I would truly appreciate every households perspective, and in so doing, providing a greater overview of what our community believed to be valuable or not during the remote learning experience.  Please click on the link below it will only take a few minutes.

I will close the Google document at close of business this coming Monday, 18 May.

TV | Movie | Gaming Character Dress-Up Day

I'm very much looking forward to Friday's dress-up day.  The Day is for all to participate, connect and enjoy together.  The title says it all, and it's just a great excuse to have some fun with the children for the day.

I implore all the adults ie parents, carers, teachers, education support staff, to all get involved and have a laugh!

Send 1 picture (your finest) of everyone in your location to your teachers, so we can select some for next weeks newsletter edition.  I might even have a few prizes for when we all return to school!
