Swimming Carnival

Swimming Carnival

On Thursday 21st February Rosehill Secondary students headed to the brand new Oak Park Leisure Centre for our annual Swimming carnival.  Even though the sun wasn’t shining, the students did not let this dampen their spirits or participation and competed ferociously for their four houses Diamond, Emerald, Sapphire and Ruby.  Students showed true house spirit cheering and competing for their teams.

With only a 50 point difference in the final results, Diamond has reclaimed their spot on top of the podium with a nail-biting win over Emerald.  Ruby and Sapphire followed.

Students competed in the pool, waterpolo and push-up/plank contests.  Water polo again drew a huge crowd with houses going head to head in all age groups competing for the win.  Students were able to test out the brand new water slides, where many laughs and screams could be heard as they burst out at the bottom.

Well done to the students progressing on to the district carnival.  Team lists will be completed soon.

A big thank you to all staff who helped out on various events, BBQs and duties.  The day would not have run so smoothly without everyone’s contribution.  Thank you also to the PE staff for running events and assisting with the preparation of the day.
