2019 Year 9 & 10 Information Night

On Wednesday evening, we hosted the Information Night for 2019 Year 9 and 10 students. The first two sessions looked at the arrangements for camps and activities that are specific to each year level, including the Year 9 experiences in Melbourne and China, as well as the Year 10 tour of central Australia.

The third session outlined the pathways subject program and was followed by an opportunity for students and parents to meet with teachers to discuss individual subject areas.

Students who were unable to attend the evening will receive the required information from their mentors and information about specific subjects can be found in the Curriculum Guide for Years 9 & 10, which is available on the school website.

Pathway preference forms are due back to the school office on Monday, September 3.

If you would like more information, please contact Mr Carolan about subjects, Mrs Winter Cooke about the Year 9 Experience or Mr Alexander about the camps.

RIST Information Night

RIST is holding their annual open information sessions on Monday, September 10 at the RIST campus (915 Mt Napier Rd, Hamilton). Any student who is considering studying at RIST in 2019 is encouraged to attend with their parents. Further details can be found in the flyer attached to this newsletter.

Naplan

NAPLAN data for 2018 has been released to schools and information for individual students will be sent to parents early next week. An information session for parents will be held at the Junior School Library (Myrniong) next Wednesday, September 5 from 3.30pm. Parents from Year 3-9 are welcome to attend.

VCE Unit 3 & 4 Practice Examinations Timetable

The Unit 3&4 Practice Examinations will be attached to this newsletter. A small number of students will have sessions rescheduled to fit with VCE LOTE Oral Examinations and individual arrangements will be made for these students. If a student is unable to attend any session, they should see Mr Carolan. All students are expected to attend these Practice Examinations. Subjects that are not part of this timetable will hold Practice Examinations in their regular class time.
