Wellness Week and College Has Got Talent

What an amazing week we have just experienced and all so ably organized by our wonderful SRC team led by Amy Waters and Alec Jagger

The students devoured 400 slices of fairy bread, 200 muffins and 220 sausages. They danced, loved the challenge of dodgeball and House Basketball, conga lined through the school, enjoyed random acts of kindness, competed in House Art, meditated and performed a whole school “Cotton Eye Joe” dance in assembly. This was just some of what went on.

The week was topped off by a most entertaining College Has Got Talent. Our comperes Sami Zehir and Jarrod Hurst should be looking at professional careers in talent show hosting as they controlled the night with great humor (well sometimes) and a touch of showbiz class! Our judges Mr Arnold, Mr Singh, Mr Doheny and Mr Hiscock were just terrific with their witty and wicked comments. Many thought they were far too harsh on the teachers act though!

Special thanks must go to Jarman Oakley and his team for their incredible behind the scenes technical support. The night would not have been possible without Jarman, Marcus, Jimmy, Amy, Niamh and of course Mr Ben Hunter.

Well done to all our acts, how brave to stand up in front of your peers and perform. Our College really does have talent!
