VCE study:
The end of term is nigh, and then our Year 12 cohort only have a few weeks of classes before the examination period commences. Those who choose to work in the Library are studying effectively and preparing each topic as it is covered in class. Those Year 11 students undertaking a Unit 3 & 4 sequence who do not have study periods need to ensure that they are keeping up with things too, for while they continue to come to class until their Year 11 exams start in late November, they do need to be operating at a high level to do well in their VCAA examinations.
Wellness Week – is every week in the Senior School Library:
Our space offers warmth in winter, activities to do alone or with others, and a wide range of materials for borrowing and using in other locations. Our challenge from last week seems to have proven too hard – constructing a building using 916 of our 1000 wooden planks! It will disappear on Friday and be replaced with another session of Wonder Gears!
Victorian Premiers’ Reading Challenge 2018:
It has been a record breaking year for The College. From ELC to Year 7 we have had some amazing totals of books read. This is such an easy way to get a certificate, and such a fruitful way to use time. Reading is such a powerful basis for all future study and work. Our Junior School Book Bag families get that and their children will be very well prepared.
