What have we been up to?

We have had a lot of fun with our making and creating theme for the past two weeks.  We have had the chance to perfect our slime making, with everyone experimenting with how much of each ingredient to add to create great slime.  We made a lot of accidental putties in the beginning, but by the end had some great slime!  We also made our own play dough last week.  The children had a lot of fun, mixing the ingredients together and stirring the mix until they had made a great batch of play dough.  We then added colours and glitter to the mix.

We have been making a lot of necklaces and bracelets over the past few weeks, as well as creating some fantastic paintings and drawings.  With the weather starting to cool down the children are starting to create some great box forts.

Kinder Corner

This week we had a lot of fun painting and drawing, with the plaster mould and wooden animals being the favourite.  Delphina and Eduarda made some beautiful bracelets and necklaces this week, with Phoenix and Xavier making their own kites using paper, a stick and string.  Making play dough and slime was great fun last week, with the help of the big kids they made some great slime and added their own colours to it.

Holiday Program

With the holidays fast approaching we will be running our holiday program.  We will be running for the three weeks of the school holidays.  Flyers are available now, in the office or hall.  If you have any questions please see Hannah or Patricia.

Just a reminder about our 24-hour cancellation policy.  If you have made a booking with us for your child we just require 24 hours written notice of cancellation.

The Kelly Club

The Kelly Club OSHC Program runs at Arlington Monday to Friday, following the end of the school day at 3.30pm.  You can find out more about Kelly Club here.

The Program is focused around sports, cooking, art and craft activities as well as structured ‘free-time’ after a busy day at school.   Activities are optional for students and incorporated into themed subjects each week that give children the opportunity to extend their learning outside of the school classroom.  Children have opportunities to explore and discover through resources provided each day.
