Term 1 Interschool Sport Results
Nossal High School competes in the School Sport Victoria competition. In the first round our students compete in Casey North Division, if they win then they progress to the second round against all schools in the Southern Metro Region and our third and final round of competition is the State championships.
Casey North Division includes 7 local schools: Berwick, Timbarra, Fountain Gate, Gleneagles, Doveton, Hallam and Nossal.
Nossal were the Division champions for 12 out of the 14 sports that we entered (including girls Softball) and Runners up for the other 2 sport teams. Congratulations to all of the students and coaches that participated in Term 1 sports below and achieved amazing results.

Nossal Year 9-12 Girls AFL
Even after an incredibly jampacked and eventful day at our Athletics Carnival, on Tuesday 2 May, the Nossal Year 9-12 Girls AFL team brought the same competitive energy to compete against Berwick College, in a footy match on Nossal turf.
Throughout the game, we had goals and points from goalscorers: Bernice, Serena, Ruhani and myself. This could not have happened without the relentless teamwork and communication, and for that I am so proud of us.
Despite losing in the end, all of us girls will always remember the comradery and the exponential improvement as each quarter progressed. Most importantly, we had so much fun cheering on our teammates and feel honoured to have represented Nossal. A special thank you towards the Berwick College team, for being so kind and a thrill to play against.
For many of the younger year levels, this was their first time learning how to kick a footy, let alone playing a full game with 20 minute quarters. To see their exuding excitement from the moment we stepped on the field, to the moment the last whistle was blown was a joy to witness. For this, my fellow year 12's and I can rest assured, that the future of girl's AFL at Nossal is in more than good hands. I can certainly say that all of us bonded along the way, creating connections with new friends.
I would especially, like to extend my gratitude to Mr Jose and Ms Ball for organising our team and trainings, and not to mention their unconditional support and encouragement during our game. We really could not have done it without the both of you!
