St Simon’s Annual Maths Fun Day
We are excited to announce that our annual whole school Maths Day will be held on Friday the 19th May! The Aim of the day is to promote that maths is fun and teamwork. This will be our fifth Maths Fun day and it’s a great day for students to engage in Maths tasks that focus on working together as a team.
This day is very special as students and staff come 'Dressed up' in maths related themed costumes. Some possible suggestions could be patterns, odd numbers (odd clothes), human domino or human calculator or clock. Other ideas could be for your child to come dressed as a famous Mathematician such as Albert Einstein. Please let your imaginations run wild! The students will need to wear runners for the day.
During the day, the students will be engaged in lot and lots of fun games such as ‘‘Minute to Win it Games’ as well as create some wonderful Maths related art masterpieces. There will be Maths scavenger hunts outside for students in Grade Prep, One and Two. Also, for the older students the Great Maths Quiz will run once again. This is when different classes battle it out in a team to find the Maths Masters of St Simon’s.
Thanking you in advance for your support with the Maths Fun Day.
