St Simon's Parents' Association

The Parents’ Association have had a very busy and successful start to the year. In term one we held our family night under the stars, screening the movie Encanto. We used a new company this year, Offshore Cinemas, and the bigger screen with better sound was well received. The ice cream truck and coffee van had a steady stream of customers all night, and the PA were serving sausages as well as freshly made popcorn. It is definitely a fun social event to look out for next year if you missed this one.

We also organized a Hot Cross Bun drive through Bakers Delight Wellington Village, and a Sushi Lunch with sushi from Walrus Japanese at Stud Park. Thankyou to everyone who placed an order.

Finally, we rounded out the term with our Easter Raffle. Congratulations to Eve Dennis from 2 Blue who won the first prize hamper. There were 5 hampers given away in total, as well as over 100 minor prizes drawn. Thankyou to everyone who donated eggs and other Easter themed prizes.

Our first event this term will be the Mother’s Day stall on Thursday 11th May. Our next food service day will be a Pizza Lunch – details coming soon!

Money raised by PA this year will be put towards systematic upgrade of the playgrounds. Our term 2 meeting dates are May 3 and June 7, we welcome anyone wishing to join.
