Farewell to Mr Baird

Mrs Fiona McAuliffe

With mixed emotions, we bid farewell to our Deputy Principal, Mr Richard Baird, who will be taking up the role of Principal at Endeavour College in Adelaide from Term 2. With a heavy heart, we say goodbye and feel a sense of pride and joy as we celebrate his accomplishments and wish him well in his new position.

Mr Baird has held an integral role in our community over the past three years. It does not sound like a long time, but he has made a positive difference in this time. Richard has worked tirelessly to support our students, teachers, and staff, and his contributions have helped shape the culture and character of our college. He has been a mentor, a guide, and a friend to many of us, and we will miss him dearly.

As we reflect on Mr Baird's time with us, we recall his unwavering commitment to academic excellence, dedication to the well-being of our students, and passion for creating a nurturing and supportive environment for all.

He has played a pivotal role in developing our curriculum, implementing new programs, expansion of facilities, and left an indelible mark on our institution. His teaching in Design Technology and soccer coaching have also added to what our students have learned from him.

We are grateful for the time that we have had with Mr Baird and the impact that he has made on our lives. While we will miss him, we know he will take his exceptional skills, knowledge, and experience to Endeavour College, where he will excel in his new role. We wish Richard and his family every blessing and look forward to hearing about his continued success.

On behalf of Good News Lutheran College, I would like to express our heartfelt thanks for your contributions to our community. You have been a true leader and a source of inspiration for us all. We will miss you, your legacy will endure, and you will always be a part of the Good News Lutheran College family.

Congratulations and farewell, Mr Richard Baird.
