Homework Club Milestone

We are proud to announce that the Homework Club radio show, which is aired on 97.9 FM, reached a milestone on the 23 of March, 2017.  We have completed 100 live to air shows of The Homework Club on 979 FM! 

On behalf of the team, I would like to thank all the parents and students that tune in, singers who have performed on the show, and teachers from Staughton College who have attended the show. Thanks to Shelley Eckel and Yvette Medina, who supply us the newsletter information for the students to read out on the show. Thanks also must go to the Principal class who have supported us from day one, and of course to 97.9 FM for giving us the opportunity and support throughout all our shows.

Staughton College Radio

Year 7 student, Lani Taylor has been training in the Radio Room over the last 6 weeks.

Lani has been training at lunchtimes playing music to the students of Staughton College. The duties Lani has been performing are learning the Virtual DJ software, mixing, announcing, and reading out school announcements.

On Saturday evening, Lani will get her first experience of live to air radio on 97.9FM as she co-hosts with me as we do a fill in show from 6 pm to 8 pm on Saturday night.
