Balaclava District Swimming Competition

Well done to all our swimmers who participated in the Balaclava District Swimming at GESAC last week. It was an outstanding effort.

EISM Division 1 Swimming Carnival

We are all very proud of our swimmers who represented our school in the EISM Division 1 Swimming Carnival held at MSAC this week On Aggregate, we placed 8th overall but only 30 points off 6th place (which is extremely close). Division 1 is quite an achievement, with many of the schools having numbers over twice Kilvington’s. Pleasingly, we remain in this Division for 2018.

I am very pleased with some of our young swimmers who filled it for events at the last minute. Jett Ellaway, Y8, swam against Open Boys/Men! Paige Pfeiffer and Sami Skinner did exceptionally well also, and were part of strong relay team swims. Also special thanks to emergencies Alex Loft, Kevin Xiong, Amelia Pummeroy and Phoebe Ho who all assisted the EISM in official duties on the night and offered great support to all.

Many students in the team will continue on to EISM Swim Champions Evening at MSAC on Monday 27 March.

• 15YO Girls 50m Freestyle: 1st place Katya Richardson
