Instrumental Music Program

Lessons are conducted during school hours and are rotated each week so that students do not miss the same class.  All Instrumental Music Teachers (IMT’s) have current Working with Children Checks and provide tuition for the following instruments;

  • GUITAR         Pablo Naranjo 0406 103 008
  • VIOLIN           Elyane de Fontenay 0401 033 587
  • VOICE             Caroline Hawke 0424 450 599
  • UKULELE      Brett  Dellavedova 0422 011 185
  • PIANO            there are currently no spots available at this time, please contact me to go on the                                  2019 waiting list (could previous requests for waiting list also reconfirm that they                                   are still interested in a spot).

Recitals are held at the end of Term 2 and Term 4 for each instrument - a small informal concert for students to display their progress to family and friends.  Dates may sometimes need to be altered due to teacher availability but will be done as near to these times as possible.

If you would like more information before contacting the music teachers, please feel free to email me;                       ktorcasio@srprestonwest.catholic.edu.au

Congratulations!

A number of piano students completed AMEB exams in Term 4.  Undertaking a music exam involves learning set technical work (scales), a program of specified pieces, general knowledge and aural tests.  It takes dedication, commitment and a lot of practise! Congratulations to these students and also other students who completed exams earlier in the year.
