STEM Co-Curricular

STEM Co-Curricular
An invitation is extended to all students who are interested in participating in the STEM co-curricular program.
The program is a hands-on, interactive experience for students to learn about and engage in various STEM-related activities and projects. The goal is to provide students with engaging and fun activities that will help them develop critical thinking skills, improve their problem-solving abilities, and spark their interest in STEM careers.
Students will grow skills and knowledge in areas they already may have an interest in, or for those wishing to learn skills in new and emerging technologies such as 3D printers, Laser Cutters and CNC Routers.
An additional benefit is that it provides a taster for future subjects at BMGS directly related to STEM, including Design & Technology, Engineering, Industrial Technology & Robotics & Coding.
This is an excellent opportunity for students to explore their interests in STEM and to learn new skills that will benefit them in the future. Our program is open to all students, regardless of their previous experience in STEM.
Students may also be invited to participate in STEM competitions such as F1 IN Schools – CADET CLASS.
The co-curricular runs on Wednesday afternoons between 3:00pm and 4:30pm and commences in Week 2 of Term 1. Students meet in AD4 and then relocate to workshops as needed.
There is a levy associated with this activity and places are strictly limited. Contact: Mr Olmos, Mr Harrison, Mr O’Keeffe in the Art & Design Centre.
