2021 HSC Music Results

Congratulations to our 2022 Music 1 class who both achieved band 6 HSC results. Aimee Clifton has been accepted into Brent Street School of Performing Arts and  Zara Wigan, who has relocated to Queensland, has commenced  the Music Theatre Course at Queensland Conservatorium.

Student Endeavours

Nathan Hilder (Year 11) achieved a mark of 90 out of 100, in his Rockschool Grade 6 Bass Exam which he completed at the end of last year. This is a Distinction pass and is an outstanding achievement requiring Nathan to display all the focus and skill of a professional musician well beyond his years.

Commencement and Scholars’ Assembly 

Thank you to our Music Captains, Emily Colbran and Maeve Magner, for their assembly performance of Duo for Violin and Viola in C Major by Johann Franz Xavier Sterkel. Best wishes to Emily and Maeve as they embark on their HSC Music 2 and Music Extension performance programs this year.

Private lessons and instrument hire

If your child is interested in taking private music lessons and/or hiring a school instrument, please contact the Music Administrator, Kathi Downs kdowns@bmgs.nsw.edu.au or 4757 9003. BMGS has tutors teaching a wide range of instruments and music theory before, during and after school in the BMGS Performing Arts Centre. For those students who are renewing their instrument hire for 2023, parents will receive a 2023 Hire Agreement and instruments will be available to pick up soon.
