Captains Corner

Welcome to the captain’s corner 😀

During the last two weeks the amazing house captains got announced. We had more people going for it then ever, well done to all the candidates. The house captains are… 

We have come up with a few questions to ask these superstars:

1) What do you want to achieve most as house captain?

• Alex- Help lead Ebden to victory.
• Lotti- Help lead Ebden to victory.
• Hannah- Encourage Dryden to thrive and introduce a positive and safe environment and mindset.
• Jack- Help lead sporting events and to be helpful and supportive to everyone in Dryden.
• Martha-  Add portable netball hoops to the netball court
• Hamish- To teach my house new games and fix the wooden playground in the far left of the school.
• Odin- Make everybody trust others more.
• Bridie- Make this position a bigger thing in the school.

2) What new events will you bring to this school?

• Alex- Downball competition.
• Lotti- Do the mathlympics again.
• Hannah- An englishlympics, and swimming competition.
• Jack- I would like to introduce golf to the school. I am thinking about asking woodend golf club if they have any old clubs we could borrow
• Martha- Ninja warrior obstacle course
• Hamish- An englishlympics, like the mathlympics but with spelling and writing.
• Odin- Something to do more with learning and activities with St Ambrose.
• Bridie- More sports for kids under the senior unit.

3) How are you going to encourage your house to do well?

• Alex- Be supportive to everyone.
• Lottie- Try to make sure everybody has a go and tries their hardest.
• Hannah- by building a strong connection with dryden and encouraging a welcoming environment
• Jack- To help them to believe in themselves and to be positive.
• Martha- Being a good sport and encouraging everyone to do their best. 
• Hamish- by building a strong connection with Mitchell and Introducing icebreaker and team bonding games.
• Odin- Encourage them and help them get better.
• Bridie- Cheer them up.

4) How will you improve your house and the school? 

• Alex- Making the house a bigger and more important thing in the school.
• Lottie- To make it more of a safe space.
• Hannah- Teaching dryden the value of cooperation and collaboration as well as learning to respect other teams and endure in team spirit
• Jack- I will be a positive influence and a kind and caring leader. I will help to bring the school together.
• Martha- More training sessions
• Hamish- at recess or lunch some days I could run voluntary training sessions with exercises like laps of the oval and ball games like bob ball and dodgeball.
• Odin- Make everybody confident when playing sports.
• Bridie- Do make sure everybody has a spot in their house.

Us school captains are all very sure that the house captains will do an incredible job, and make our houses better than ever!
